The Indiana Department of Transportation is applying a fog seal State Road 60 from the west side of Salem to near the Washington-Orange County line, weather permitting today. Motorists will be directed around the moving worksite by flaggers.
S.R. 60 was chip and sealed earlier to guard against moisture intrusion and extend the service life of the pavement.
This light liquid asphalt spray will secure aggregate chips and add an overcoat to further seal and protect the roadway.
