This afternoon storms ripped through southern Harrison County causing damage to approximately twenty homes. The damage ranged from minor to moderate damage.
At least one funnel cloud was spotted on Salem’s northwest side and traveled north of WSLM and on towards Canton and into Scott County. There was at least one barn damaged on 135 North of Salem.
More than 20 counties in Indiana and Kentucky remain under a tornado watch until 9p.
There were no deaths and only one minor injury reported in Harrison County – to a New Middletown Volunteer Fire Department Member.
At 6:00 pm, there will be a news briefing at the New Middletown Fire Department located at 4055 Fire Lane, New Middletown, IN. Members from Harrison County Emergency Management and other public agencies will be there to answer questions.
