E. E. Martin, age 91 of Salem, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 9:10 pm, in Salem Crossing.
Born March 29, 1927 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Carl and Fern (Rosenbaum) Martin.
He was a retired Farmer, Auctioneer and Realtor and was a member of the First Christian Church of Salem and attended the Salem United Methodist Church.
He served during WW II in the U.S. Navy, had been a life
resident of Washington County and was a 1944 graduate of Salem High School. He was a member of the Salem Lions Club, the Salem Masonic Lodge
and was a member and past president of the National FFA.
On March 11, 1951 he married Margaret Ann (Bennett) Martin, who survives.
Also surviving are: Son: Gary (Nancy) Martin of Indianapolis; Daughter: Lisa Martin of Salem; 4 Grandchildren: Caroline and Tess Martin, Whitney (Louis) Turso and Courtney (Ryan Arnold) Temple and 4
Great Grandchildren: Sofia, Marly and Rocco Turso and Ellison Arnold.
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Fisher & Bro. Paul Martin officiating.
Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday and 11 am Monday until the time of the
service.
