On Wednesday, Sept. 12, Clark County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detective Donovan Harrod, along with the assistance of Jeffersonville Police and Clarksville Police Detective’s executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 9100 block of Henryville-Otisco Rd, Otisco, Indiana at approximately 9:00 p.m.

The search warrant was in relation to a 6-month long investigation which was initiated by Detective Harrod after receiving multiple anonymous community tips on the Clark County Sheriff’s Office tip line in regards to Jason Greer distributing illegal narcotics out of his residence.

Upon executing the search warrant Jason Greer resisted arrest by fleeing and attempting to barricade himself in a room in the residence. After detaining Jason Greer, a search of the residence yielded 137 grams of Methamphetamine, a large quantity of Heroin, 2 high powered rifles, a large quantity of US currency, and supplies indicative to dealing narcotics.

Amada Greer, who is Jason Greer’s wife, was also located in the residence at the time of the search warrant. Upon locating Amanda Greer, she was found attempting to hide narcotics in the residence.

While recovering evidence at the scene a Detective retrieved a large bag of drug paraphernalia and while doing so, a used syringe was exposed from the bag causing the Detective to be stuck by the needle causing the Detective to seek immediate medical treatment.

During this investigation Detective Harrod received direct evidence that Jason Greer had sold Heroin to a subject in the Otisco area causing them to immediately overdose.

The subject was revived due to someone in the residence purchasing NARCAN, for personal use, prior to the incident and administering it on the subject prior to Police and EMS arrival.

Sheriff Jamey Noel has taken a strong stance against drug dealers in our community and will continue to seek out, investigate, and arrest any drug dealer that can be located.
