Bill Green, age 67 of Salem, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2018 at
1:25 am, in St. Vincent Salem Hospital.
Born December 12, 1950 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Lee
and Helen L. (Blackburn) Green.
He was co-owner of Mama Rosas Restaurant for 29 years. He served during
the Vietnam War as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, and served as a
Drill Sergeant, an Army Recruiter and Communications Officer. He had
been a resident of Washington County for the past 29 years, attended
Salem High School Class of 1969 and enjoyed riding motorcycles and
traveling.
On October 3, 1970 he married Yvonne (Back) Green, who survives. Also
surviving are: Son: Brian (Jeanetta) Green of Salem, Daughter: Joanna
(Roger) Alexander of Salem and 4 grandchildren: Megan Alexander, Ryan
Green, Dustin Alexander and Larissa Green.
He was preceded in death by1 brother, Bob Fleenor and 2 sisters: Noralee
Brewer and Sondra Cook.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Tony
Nolan officiating.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
