Lela Ruth Gould, age 89 of Salem, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019
at 2:54 pm, in Baptist Health Floyd.
Born July 31, 1929 in Campbellsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of
the late Sheridan D. and Catherine (Hattabaugh) Haley.
She was a retired Director of the Washington County Division of Family
Resources and a former employee of the old Travelers Corporation in
Orleans. She was a member of the Saltillo Christian Church, had been a
life resident of Washington County, was a 1947 graduate of Campbellsburg
High School and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
On April 8, 1950 she married Donn M. Gould, who passed away April 13, 1916.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Joe (Freda)
Bonebrake of Salem, who cared for her.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother: Garland Haley and 3 sisters:
Vivian Haley, Pauline Bonebrake and Mildred Hardin.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home with interment
following in Saltillo Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday.
