Roy Scott Dearborn, 67, of Marengo, Indiana died on January 16, 2019 at Baptist East- Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born on October 24, 1951 in English, Indiana to the late Harry Otis and Minnie Irene (Dunn) Dearborn.
He was a heavy equipment operator for his company, Dearborn Excavating. He attended the Marengo Wesleyan Church. Roy was a special foster father to many children.
He was preceded in death by parents; his brothers, Charles, Gilbert, Harry Jr., George, John, and Carl Dearborn; and sisters, Vivian Williams, Bonnie and Val Dearborn.
He married Patricia Ann Seacat on July 23, 1971 and is also survived by his son, James Dearborn of Leesville, Louisiana; daughters: Contessa Dearborn of Louisville, KY, Laura Kocur (John) of Burns, TN, Jennifer Devore (Paul) of Mt. Washington, KY, Doris Crawford (Glen) of Depauw, IN, Angella Talley M.D. (Dennis) of Leavenworth, IN, Brandy Hopkins (Dan) of Tell City, IN; Special buddies of Roy: Zander, Zeriah, and Zavier; brothers: Elmer Dearborn (Cindy) of Milltown, IN and Bill Dearborn (Agnes) of Taswell, IN; special nephews: Gabriel Talley (Shelbi) and Anthony Woodam-Ransom; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Marengo Wesleyan Church in Marengo, IN. Interment will follow in the Cook-Tucker Cemetery near English, IN.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 3-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service on Saturday, all at the Marengo Wesleyan Church.
Bro. Steve Lock will officiate the service.
