Search Finds Heroin and Stolen Firearm in New Albany

The Sellersburg Post All Crime Policing (A.C.P.) squad arrested three individuals for dealing in heroin, theft, and other drug-related charges after an investigation and subsequent search warrant revealed approximately an ounce of heroin and a stolen firearm. 

Trooper Andrew Taylor began an investigation into possible drug activity at 757 Linden Drive in New Albany and consequently requested a search warrant for the residence based on his findings.  

Officers from the A.C.P. squad, with the assistance of the New Albany Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms served the warrant at approximately 10 a.m. this morning. 

During the search, roughly an ounce of suspected heroin was discovered as well as marijuana and multiple weapons, one of which was found to be stolen out of Louisville, Ky. 

As a result of the search, the following were arrested:

Diondre M. White, 35, 757 Linden Drive, New Albany, and Jimmy L. Morgan, 37, Cincinnati, OH were both charged with Dealing in a Narcotic Drug – Level 2 Felony, Possession of a Narcotic Drug – Level 3 Felony, Theft (Possession of a Stolen Firearm) – Level 6 Felony, Maintaining a common nuisance – Level 6 Felony, Dealing in Marijuana – Level A Misdemeanor, and Possession of Paraphernalia – a Level A Misdemeanor.

Barbara K. Grainger, 32, 757 Linden Drive, New Albany is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – a Level A Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia – a Level A Misdemeanor, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance – a Level 6 Felony.
