Traffic Stop Results in Two More Drug Related Arrests and One Traffic Related Arrest

A recent traffic stop in Scott County resulted in the arrests of two on drug charges and one arrest on a traffic violation. 

On April 17, 2019 Deputy Joe Baker with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on I-65 between Scottsburg and Austin.

As a result of the traffic stop and investigation was conducted which led to the arrest of three individuals.

Two of the individuals were arrested for drug related charges. Mike Weston, 45, of Scottsburg was arrested for Driving While Suspended Prior.

Kaitlin Grider, 28, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe.

Morgan Riley, 25, of Austin was arrested for Two Counts of Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe.

Sheriff Goodin praised the efforts of deputies in executing his plan for “zero tolerance” and a “Drug Free Scott County”.
