Margie Lou Hampton, age 84 of Campbellsburg, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at 6:53 pm, in Baptist Health Floyd New Albany.
Born May 19, 1934 in Campbellsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Pennington) Walton.
She was a retired employee of GKN in Salem, a member of the First Christian Church of Campbellsburg and had been a life resident of Washington County.
In 1949 she married Merlin W. Hampton, who passed away March 20, 1968.
Survivors include: 5 Sons: Mike W. Hampton, Kevin L. (Heather) Hampton and Scott J. (Felicia) Hampton, all of Salem, Troy A. (Crystal) Hampton of Pinellas Park, Florida and Jeffery “Bob” (Minnie) Hampton of Campbellsburg; 25 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Kenneth W. Hampton, 1 brother, 3 sisters and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home followed by interment in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and 9 am until the time of the service on Tuesday.
