Five Arrested in Salem Drug Bust

Five from Salem were arrested in an early Sunday morning drug bust in Salem near the fairgrounds. 

Indiana State Trooper Kyle Taylor said he came to a residence on Smith Street in Salem to serve an outstanding warrant on Michelle Lee Hall of Campbellsburg. 

Taylor said the warrant was issued from Scott County for Possession of Meth. 

When he arrived at the location on Smith Street, Trooper Taylor said he approached Ted Taylor, who was outside the residence. 

Trooper Taylor said he was looking for Mull and Taylor advised she was inside. 

Trooper Taylor requested a probable cause affidavit for a search warrant of the residence, which was requested. 

Inside, Trooper Taylor along with members of the Salem Police Department, located Meth, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and a Legend Drug. 

Hall, Taylor and three others were arrested as follows:

Andrew S. Burnett, 36, Salem

  • Possession or Use of a Legend Drug or Precursor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

Scott R. Hemmingway, 43, Salem

  • Possession of Meth

  • Possession or Use of a Legend Drug or Precursor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

Michelle Lee Hall, 48, Campbellsburg

  • Possession of Meth
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance
  • Possession or Use of a Legend Drug or Precursor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

Tracy Ann Deering, 37, Salem

  • Possession of Meth
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance
  • Possession or Use of a Legend Drug or Precursor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

Ted A Taylor, 50, Salem

  • Possession of Meth
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance
  • Possession or Use of a Legend Drug or Precursor

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

All were booked into the Washington County Detention Center.
