INDOT maintenance crews will replace a pipe on S.R. 256 west of Austin today (Tuesday, August 27) weather permitting.
The road will close to all traffic from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Thomastown Road and C.R. 1025 E. The road will be open to local traffic only from I-65 to the east and S.R. 39 to the west until the point of full closure.
The official state detour is I-65 S to S.R. 56 at Scottsburg (Exit 29) to S.R. 39.
