The Washington County Goat Association and the Washington County Sheep Association invite goat and sheep producers to a FAMACHA and Basic Care Workshop from 2:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Washington County Fairgrounds (118 Fair St.) in Salem.
This workshop will focus on parasite management, FAMACHA certification, and basic care of goats and sheep. Local goat and sheep producers will provide examples of their livestock for workshop participants to practice FAMACHA scoring.
Dr. Beth Johnson, Field Veterinary for Kentucky Department of Agriculture and Dr. Kristin Tormoehlen, Veterinarian at Brownstown Veterinary Clinic will be the workshop presenters.
