After what was to have been Spring Break for many local schools, administrators are looking for ways to feed students after the break while school is closed to help contain the Covid-19 virus.
Gov. Eric Holcomb announced Thursday that schools would remain closed through May 1. Originally local schools were going to close through the remainder of March.
Schools are making plans to feed students beginning March 30.
As of today, March 20th, 2020, there will be a Google Form available online for parents to request meals for students of East Washington School Corporation.

“If you have internet, we request you use the online format,” said East Washington Superintendent Dennis Stockdale.
“Please put the name of each child, address, and bus number on the form,” he said. “If your household does not have internet, call 967-3926, select the number one, and leave a message for meals.”
Please include the name of students, address, and bus number in your message.
For Monday, March 30th, Stockdale said the school will serve meals from Eastern High School to any students.
The time for the meal service on Monday at EHS is 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Home meal delivery will begin on March 31st.
More information on that will follow.
