Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest

On August 30th, 2020, at approximately 11:41 pm, Deputy Tory Hildreth conducted a traffic stop on East Shorts Corner Road.

The driver of the vehicle (Daniel Howard, age 38 of Fredericksburg) was discovered to have an active arrest warrant out of Harrison County, Indiana and a suspended drivers license.

During an investigation, approximately 4.5 grams of Methamphetamine and four syringes were located in the vehicle.

The driver and a passenger (Todd Lester, age 36 of Salem) were placed under arrest for the following charges:

Daniel Howard
Driving While Suspended with a Prior, a Class A Misdemeanor and the Harrison County Warrant

Todd Lester
Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony and Possession of a Syringe, a Level 6 Felony.

Deputy Hildreth was assisted by Deputy Allen Taylor.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
