Paul Edward Jolly of Salem, Indiana passed away peacefully on September

Paul grew up in Rockport, IN, attended college at the University of
Evansville and Indiana University was a US Navy veteran and lived most
of his adult life in Salem, IN.

Paul married Margo (Heilig) Jolly on June 1, 1968, and raised two boys,

Paul was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. His passion for fishing, which
started with his brother on the Ohio River as kids, led to Paul’s
‘second career’ in competitive Bass Fishing.

He fished more tournaments than we could count, won quite a few, and started a successful tournament circuit, The Hoosier Open.

His fishing career culminated this year in being nominated as one of only 17 people in the Indiana Bass Fishing Hall of Fame.

Paul also worked at Ski Paoli Peaks as a part-time ski instructor for more than 40 years and was still teaching lessons up to last year.

One of his greatest joys was sharing his passion for fishing and skiing with his grandchildren, whether on Lake Patoka, Colorado, or Lake Tahoe California.

and brother John (Shirley). Paul is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
