Richard Earl Hazel, 72, of Leavenworth, Indiana died on September 19, 2020, at Robley Rex V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on October 31, 1947, in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Finis Earl and Lois (Mize) Hazel.
He was a retired truck driver for Fisher Packing Company and an Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Posey Masonic Lodge #188 in Leavenworth, Indiana, Lewis-Parkland Masonic Lodge #638 in Louisville, Kentucky, and Milltown Masonic Lodge #661 and was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife: Beverly J. Hazel of Leavenworth, Indiana; his son: Richard E. Hazel Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters: Beverly Mae McCloud of Corydon, Indiana and Elaine Marie Hazel; and grandchildren: Landen Neal, Turner Lee, and Braxton Earl McCloud.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Leavenworth Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 4-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 11:00 a.m., all at the funeral home.
Bro. Gilbert Duley will officiate the service.
