Debbie Joan Asbell, 55, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away on Thursday October 8, 2020 at IU Health Bedford.
She was born September 20, 1965 in Decatur, Illinois to Gene Handy and Shirley Jones Padgett. Debbie married Timmy Joe Asbell on June 28, 1986 and he survives.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
She was a member of Paoli United Methodist Church and Paoli High School Class of 1983. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved the beach.
Debbie owned and operated Debbie’s Hair Care. She was deeply passionate with her profession and loved her clients. Debbie also taught pre-school for several years, as well as Sunday school and youth group.

Tyson Asbell (Destani Scott) Paoli, Indiana
Daughter: Kaylee Asbell (Tim Woolley) Orleans, Indiana
Brother: Rodney (Mary) Handy Salt Lake City, Utah
Sister: Connie Seals Paoli, Indiana
Grandchildren: Bella Allen, Kacie Asbell, Macon Allen, and Timmy Asbell, several nieces and nephews, and friends also survive Debbie Asbell.
Funeral services will be Tuesday October 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home located at 226 W Campbell Street, Paoli, Indiana 47454.
Visitation will be held Monday October 12, 2020 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home and from 9:00 AM until time of service Tuesday.
Private interment will follow in the Paoli Community Cemetery.
