Robert L. Cleek, age 73 of Salem, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020
at 5:04 am, in the University Of Louisville Hospital.
Born March 4, 1947 in Kingsport, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Sylvanus and Lena Bell (Thacker) Cleek.
He was a member with the Local Labor Union #795 in New Albany, had been a resident of Washington County since 1998, formerly of Crothersville
and was a member of the New Beginning Baptist Church.
On December 31, 1982 he married Terry L. (Fletcher) Cleek, who survives.
Also surviving are:
4 Daughters: Tonya (Wayne) Blevins of Salem, Shonna Cleek of Salem, Bobby Jo Cleek of Campbellsburg and Faye Cleek of Salem;
3 Brothers: Charles D. Cleek of Salem, Delbert Shannon Cleek of Pekin and William Sherman Cleek of Ricon, Georgia;6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jerald Cleek and 2 Sisters: Stella Cole and Wanda Hortenberry.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday at Dawalt Funeral Home followed by interment in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Wednesday and 9 am until the time of the service on Thursday.
