On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, the Indiana State Police concluded a lengthy drug investigation by arresting Jacob Bachman, age 36, and Erica Hopper, age 48, both of Orleans, Indiana.
They were charged as follows:
Jacob D. Bachman, 36, Orleans, IN
- Dealing Methamphetamine, Level 3 Felony
Erica L. Hopper, 48, Orleans, IN
- Dealing Methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony
The Indiana State Police had received information that both Bachman and Hopper were dealing methamphetamine in and around Orleans, and Mitchell, Indiana.
The Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section initiated an investigation which led to information that Bachman and Hopper were indeed distributing methamphetamine in the Orleans and Mitchell areas.
Jacob Bachman was arrested today on an active warrant issued out of Orange Circuit Court, for Dealing Methamphetamine, a Level 3 Felony.
Erica Hopper was also arrested today on an active warrant issued out of Orange Circuit Court, for Dealing Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony.
Indiana State Police Trooper Chance Humphrey, with the assistance of Officer Drew Henderson of the Orleans Police Department and Officer Shaun Cabral of the Mitchell Police Department, located both individuals at the West Gate Manor apartment complex in Orleans, Indiana.
They were taken into custody without incident and were transported to the Orange County Jail, where both are currently being detained.
