Michael Wayne Hampton, age 70 of Salem, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, in Baptist Health Floyd New Albany.
Born September 8, 1950 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Merlin W. and Margie L. (Walton) Hampton.
He was a retired self-employed electrician and a former employee of the old Bata Shoe Company in Salem. He had been a life resident of Washington County and was a 1968 graduate of Salem High School.
Survivors include 2 Daughters: Lori (Brian) Ragland of Noblesville, Indiana and Lisa K. Hampton of Salem; 1 Son: Michael Eric (Vicki) Hampton of Salem; 4 Brothers: Troy A. Hampton, Kevin L. (Heather) Hampton and Scott J. (Felicia) Hampton, all of Salem and Jeffery “Bob” (Minnie) Hampton of Campbellsburg. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Kenneth W. Hampton.
The Services will be private with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery.
