Betty J. Wilson, 85, of Salem, died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at her daughter’s residence, a Nashville address in Brown County, Indiana.
She was born March 30, 1936, to James and Essie (Hedrick) Boling in Orleans, Indiana.
Betty married Wayne Wilson on January 3, 1953, and they had five children.
She was previously employed at Salem Poultry, LeWeb Industries, several local restaurants, and was a homemaker.
Betty is survived by daughters, Marceda A. Burger, Sherry L. (Steve) Garloch, both of Salem, and Melissa J. (Ronnie) Woodward of Nashville; son, Kent (Shawna) Wilson of Seymour; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Marceda Newton; and brother, Howard Boling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jimmy W. Wilson, son-in-law, Richard Burger, and six brothers: James, Charles, Marvin, Billy, Norman, and Robert Boling.
A private burial will be at Peugh Cemetery in Salem; Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
