John William Harvey, 79, of Sulphur, Indiana died on June 21, 2021, at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, Indiana.  John was born on April 8, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Max Harvey and Ellen (Roark) Fowler.

John was a former school teacher for schools in Jefferson County, Kentucky; Plainfield, Indiana; and Arizona.  He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in France during Vietnam.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

John is survived by his wife, Juanita Harvey of Sulphur, Indiana; sons:  John W. Harvey Jr. of Lexington, Indiana, Kevin Harvey of California, Sean Harvey of Hanover, Indiana, Jonathan Harvey of Depauw, Indiana, Michael Harvey of Fenton, Missouri, Jaron, and Jacob Harvey both of Sulphur, Indiana; daughter, Rachel Yingling of Moultrie, Georgia; sisters:  Joyce Watson of Terre Haute, Indiana and Judy Leitch of Omaha, Nebraska; 29 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, June 28 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4027 E. Goodman Ridge Road, Marengo, Indiana  47140.  Greg Sissel will preside over the service.  Interment will follow in the El Bethel Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 2-8 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana, and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am, at the church.
