Norma Ruth (Felker) Toney, 93, of Marengo, Indiana died on September 24, 2021 at Baptist Health- Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.
Norma was born near Mifflin, Indiana to Curtis and Edith (Conklin) Felker on August 6, 1928. She married Ellis Paul Toney on June 30, 1948.
To this union three children were born: Carolyn Susanne Toney who died in infancy, Eric M. Toney and his wife, Janette and Errol P. Toney and his wife, Linda; grandchildren, Tella Hall (Bryan), Kristina (Anthony) Fischer, Amanda Toney (Eric), Kayla Denzinger (Jarret), Allen Toney (Rachel), Courtney Slaten (Kris), Janessa Decker (Joshua), Katie Oliver, Jordan Newkirk (Alivia), and 17 great-grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellis Paul Toney; infant daughter, Carolyn Susanne Toney; and a brother, Paul Felker.
Norma was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was a long-time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Marengo, where she served as Eucharistic Minister.
Norma was a fixture at Toney Oil Company every morning where she helped her sons with postal, banking, and filing duties.
Norma spent the last nine years of her life at Cedar Court Assisted Care Facility, where she was very happy and loved by both residents and staff.
Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 341 IN-66, Marengo, Indiana 47140.
Interment will follow in the Mathers Chapel Cemetery near English, Indiana.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 4-8 pm and after 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Wednesday, all at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.
Father Fred Dennison will officiate.
A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 7:00 am at the funeral home.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
