Terry Ballinger, age 58, of Salem passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. Born May 20, 1964 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Sylvanus S. Gibson and Doris J. Gibson.
Terry was employed by Churchill Downs as a chef and was a member of Rock of Hope Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvanus and Doris Gibson; her husband, John Ballinger; and a daughter, Tammy Brown.
Terry is survived by 2 sons: Brian Schrayer (Kate) and Bradley Gibson (Jacquelyn Andrews); 1 brother: William Gibson; 2 sisters: Sherry Tedrow and Carol Reece-Salings; 1 granddaughter: Bexley Gibson; 3 nephews; and 3 nieces.
Cremation was chosen; Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with funeral care.
