A Dale woman is in jail after being arrested on charges of neglect and battery of a minor.
Arrested and Charged was Megan L. Weddle, age 22, of Dale, IN
- Neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury, Felony 3
- Domestic battery on a person less than 14 years old, Felony 3
Indiana State Police Detective Sergeant Brock Werne initiated a criminal investigation on November 1, 2021 after receiving information from the Indiana Department of Child Services concerning allegations of battery against a child.
The investigation revealed that Weddle had allegedly battered a child under 14 years old.
This was reported to have taken place in Spencer County.
After reviewing the investigation, Spencer County Prosecutor asked for a warrant for Weddle’s arrest. Spencer County Circuit Court issued a warrant on November 1, 2021, and Weddle was arrested on the active warrant on November 1, 2021, by Detective Sergeant Brock Werne. She was taken into custody and transported to the Spencer County Jail without incident.
