This afternoon at approximately 4:45 p.m., Sergeant Bill Gadberry was patrolling SR 57 near Summerville when he observed a 2006 Cadillac traveling north at 90 mph while passing another northbound vehicle.
Arrested and Charges was Johanna K. Dersche, 21, Oakland City, IN
- Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Level 6 Felony
- Possession of Meth, Level 6 Felony
- Possession of Marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class C Misdemeanor
Sergeant Gadberry attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued north at a high rate of speed.
Approximately one mile south of SR 64, the vehicle left the roadway on the east side, struck a tree, and came to a final rest.
Dersche was arrested without further incident.
Troopers searched her vehicle and found a small amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Dersche was taken to the Gibson County Jail where she is currently being held on bond.
