John D. Lamb, age 73 of Salem, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the U of L Hospital Louisville.
Born December 1, 1948 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Albert Edward and Edna Lucille (Spurgeon) Lamb.
He was a retired Captain with the Salem Fire Department, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Coast Guard.
On September 21, 1984 he married Sharon K. (Locke) Lamb, who survives.
Also surviving are: Stepson: Paul Blankenship of Boise, Idaho, Sister: Carol Cashon of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and 1 step grandson.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Terry Dean and Darrell Lamb and 1 sister, Marsha Diane Lamb.
Cremation was chosen with burial and service at a later date
