Laura Hankins, age 65 of Salem, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, in St. Vincent Salem Hospital.
Born May 7, 1957, in Elgin, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Mildred (Bush) Morris.
She was a Dietary Supervisor for Elgin Mental Health Center in Elgin, Illinois and had been a resident of Washington County for the past 1 1/2 years, formerly of Kirkland, Illinois. She was a member of the Salem Senior Citizens Center and loved painting and her family.
Survivors include Daughter: Kristine Houston of Salem; Son: Randy (Sara) Houston of Wenatchee, Washington; Stepdaughter: Shawna Poerier of Florida; Sister: Lisa Schmitt of South Elgin, Illinois; 3 Brothers: John Morris of Miami, Florida and Joe and Jeff Morris, both of Elgin, Illinois; Best Friends: Darla and Randy Houston, Sr. and Grandchildren: Audrey and Darma Houston and Kyler Hankins.
She was preceded in death by 1 son: Jack Weber.
The services will be private.
