A 19-year-old Medora man has been arrested on 9 counts of child pornography by the Indiana State Police.
Yesterday, March 12, 2024, ISP Detectives arrested a Jackson County, Indiana man on multiple counts of Possession of Child Pornography after a three-month investigation by Indiana State Troopers assigned to the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Paxston A. Allman, age 19, Medora, Indiana was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Jail where he was incarcerated on preliminary charges of Possession of Child Pornography (9 counts).
He will soon face an initial appearance in the Jackson County Circuit Court.
The investigation began in December 2023 when a cybertip was received from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.
The tip was then forwarded to the Indiana ICAC Task Force to investigate. The investigation led to a search warrant being served yesterday at a residence in the 9000 block of West US 50 near Medora, Indiana.
During the investigation, multiple images of suspected child pornography were found on social media accounts and electronic devices allegedly belonging to Allman.
Indiana State Police Detectives were assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is a multiagency task force that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to sexually exploit or entice children. The Indiana State Police oversees the task force.
The Indiana ICAC Task Force encourages Hoosiers to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The NCMEC website can be accessed through the ICAC Task Force website. NCMEC is a private, non-profit organization providing services nationwide to families and law enforcement officials relating to the prevention of the abduction and sexual exploitation of children.
