Bonnie Sue (Milligan) Elliott, aged 83, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, at her daughter’s (Tami Masden) home in Noblesville, Indiana. Bonnie was in Hospice and both her daughters, Tami and Jill Fogelsong, were gratefully at her side when she passed. She fought a brave fight in the last days of her life.
Bonnie was born in 1941 to Pearl (McPherson) and Herman Milligan, both of Paoli, Indiana.
Bonnie married Rodger Elliott on July 18, 1958, at the young age of seventeen. They both married only once to each other and were married 66 years. Bonnie was preceded in death by Rodger who passed away 12/27/2024.
Bonnie declined rapidly and died of a broken heart after the loss of her husband.
Both Rodger and Bonnie were confirmed Christians. From the moment they surrendered their hearts to Jesus, they committed their lives to that way of life. Bonnie is again united and celebrating with her beloved husband in Heaven and all of her family and friends who went before her. She is finally at peace and no longer burdened with a broken heart. Bonnie was a member of the Little Mission Church in Hardinsburg, Indiana.
Bonnie was preceded in death by not only her husband but also her son, Ricky Dale Elliott, who died in 2015, and her sister Minnie (Milligan) Chapman.
Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Tami (Elliott) Masden and Jill (Elliott) Fogelsong, both of Noblesville, Indiana. Bonnie is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her eldest sister, Betty (Milligan) Slayton of Paoli.
Cremation was pre-planned by Bonnie. In lieu of a funeral or celebration of life, her desire was for family and friends to simply celebrate her through personal memories created over the years.
