The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on State Road 62 on or after Wednesday, November 5, in Corydon.
The speed limit will decrease from 45 mph to 35 mph between Toler Road and State Road 135 and from 40 mph to 35 mph between S.R. 135 and Morris Avenue.
The reduced speed limit is intended to improve safety along S.R. 62. Advance speed limit warning signs will be installed to help emphasize the change.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
