Fifty-Four have now filed to run for office in Washington County for the upcoming May 5 Primary, which selects party representation for the fall General Election.
In addition to township trustee and board member contests, filings include races for county commissioner, sheriff, auditor, recorder and county council, which oversee countywide budgets, policy, and law enforcement.
New filings for Monday and Tuesday, included:

- Joseph (Joe) Keltner Republican Washington County Sheriff
- Sue Bennett Republican Brown Township Trustee, Washington County
- David Johnson Republican Gibson Township Board Member, Washington County
- Randall (Randy) Bills Republican Washington Township Board Member, Washington County
- Kathleen Zelivetz Democratic Howard Township Trustee, Washington County
Tuesday Filings
- Andrew Davisson Republican Washington County Council, District 2
- Ken Armstrong Republican Posey Township Trustee, Washington County
- Jason J Linscott Republican Jefferson Township Board Member, Washington County
- Jimmy (JD) Rockey Republican Posey Township Board Member, Washington County
- Charles (Chuck) Williams Republican Washington Township Board Member, Washington County
Joseph (Joe) Keltner added his name to the Sheriff’s race on Monday, joining other Republicans Wayne Blevins, Danny Libka, Brad Naugle and Chris Strange.
Other major races include Michell Fleenor and Janine Lee vying for party nomination for Auditor; Randy Lee and Tony Moranto, vying for party nomination for Recorder; David Bower, Doug Sabens and Preston Shell, all seeking party nomination for County Commissioner, District 2.
Joshua P. Hardin, Rebecca (Becky) White and Angela (Angie) Wilson are seeking the Republican party nomination for County Council District 3.
