On Friday February 7th, 2014 the Jackson County Community Theatre will host its second History Lecture Series of their 2013-14 season. The topic of the program will be The History of the Kentucky Derby. The presentation will be given by Kentucky Derby Museum Outreach Coordinator Heather Hill. Hill, who is a Seymour native, travels to area schools doing outreach for the Kentucky Derby Museum. The program will be both adult and kid friendly so bring the whole family! The program will last about an hour and will start at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. The event is free of charge, but goodwill donations will be taken for the theatre. Come out with the family and learn more about this exciting event held every year just a few miles to the south!
