Betty Michna, age 75, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019, at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1944, in Houston, Texas.

Betty was a lifelong Traditional Catholic and had a great devotion to Our Blessed Mother. She loved hosting family get-togethers. She was a homemaker, she raised and homeschooled 9 children, worked the family business, and on the family farm. She was a member of TOPS and KOPS. Betty’s favorite color was blue. If you like, wear something blue in her honor, only if convenient. 

Survivors include her husband, Anthony Michna; 9 children, Monica (Mark) Sellers, John (Liesl) Michna, Mary (Greg) Brewer, Elizabeth (Patrick) Barnes, Joseph (Allison) Michna, Michael (Jennifer) Michna, Stephen (Mallory) Michna, William (Randi) Michna, and Rose Michna; mother, Elizabeth Thumann; brother, Donald (Marinell) Thumann; sister, Carolyn Oakley; 33 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her father, Theodore Thumann.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday November 1, at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Pekin. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Martinsburg Cemetery.

Lee E. Stevens, age 71 of Salem, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019, at
6:28 pm, in St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Born November 25, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the
late William Edward Stevens and Doris J. (Hoffmeister) Stevens.

Lee was a nuclear engineer and retired in 2001 from the U. S. Department
of Energy. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Salem, had
been a resident of Washington County since 1997, formerly of Louisville
and received a Master’s degree in Engineering in 1971 from the
The University of Louisville.

On February 11, 1977, he married Susan L. (Thompson) Stevens, who passed
away October 3, 2012.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Bret (Kay) Stevens of Pekin and Darin McNeely
of Columbus; Daughter: Gina Thompson of Salem; 7 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1 son, Aaron Stevens and 1 brother, Danny
Stevens.

Funeral Service: 8:00 pm Friday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4:00 pm until the time of the service on Friday.
