A partnership between the City of Salem Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police led to the arrest of 10 on drug charges Monday.
Officers executed arrest warrants and search warrants across Washington County at three locations – two in Salem and one in Pekin.
“This is the result of an ongoing joint investigation,” said Washington County Deputy Sheriff Brent Miller. “A direct result of how well the local law enforcement work together. Our drug task forces are working very well together to try to make an impact on the drug problem in Washington County. We’re going to try to aggressively work these drug investigations with the City of Salem and State Police. This is a direct result of the good working relationship. This was a state police investigation with the help of the local drug team. I’m proud of our guys working together to make this happen.”
The first location, at 410 Baird Blvd., yielded two arrested on arrest warrants out of Washington County.
Jennifer Baker, 28, from the earlier mentioned address was arrested on six Dealing in Heroin charges resulting from arrest warrants from Washington County.

Kathy Tweedy and Evan Tweedy were arrested at the scene but Gregory Tweedy who was not home turned himself into the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
The third location was 109 Allen Court in Salem, at this location five people were arrested including
