Homer Dean Delph 36, of Medora passed away at 5:25 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Sparksville Crossing, Campbellsburg, IN.
He was born on July 23, 1980, in Seymour. He is the son of Walter Dean & Penny Sue (Bennett) Delph.
Homer worked for Collins Heating & Cooling as an HVAC Tech.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything outdoors. He was a very adventurous person and loved spending time with family and friends. His life was surrounded by his daughter, which he loved very much.
Homer is survived by his parents, daughter; Daisy Mae Delph paternal grandmother; Maxine ( Al) Bequeret sister; Misty (Andy) Ruddick, nephews; Dustin Ruddick, Justin Ruddick, niece; Kearstin Ruddick. and Old farts; Tom and Betty Branum, whom he checked on everyday.
He is preceded in death by his sister Holly Delph, maternal grandparent Ed and Louise Bennett and paternal grandfather Simon Delph.
Friends may visit with the family at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 after 2:30 pm. until time of memorial service. Memorial service will be at
5:00 pm at Voss & Sons Funeral Service with Reverend Scott Brown officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Kurtz cemetery.
Memorials may be written for daughter’s education fund in care of Voss & Sons Funeral service.

Palmyra: Clara Laverne (Morrison) Wisman, age 68, passed away peacefully, at
Baptist Health Floyd Saturday, May 13, 2017. She was born in Allensville,
Kentucky to the late Robert W. and Florence Rose Morrison.
She was a pharmacy tech for Walgreen’s, and worked for Norton Community
Medical in Clarksville. She retired from the woodworking business and worked in
several different factories: Kimball Manufacturing, Keller Manufacturing, Schmidt
Cabinets, and Kitchen Kompact. Clara was currently employed by the Dollar
General Store in Palmyra.
Clara loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her
feline fur baby Clyde.
Besides her parents Clara was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert Earl,
James, and John Morrison and one sister Shirley Esters.
She is survived by her son Jeff Wisman of Palmyra and her daughter Tammy
Geltmaker (Scott) of Floyds Knobs. Five grandchildren Aaron, Kyle, and Megan
Geltmaker and Taylor and Jade Wisman. One great grandchild: Xander
Geltmaker. Two sisters: Pearl Johnson and Dorothy Wylie. Also surviving is her
close friend Paul Monks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Love Funeral
Home in Palmyra. Visitation will be Friday May 19, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m. and Saturday May 20, 2017 starting at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service
at Love Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the services.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the American
Cancer Society, 701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, KY 40203; American Heart
Association 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222; or to Guerin Woods

Fredericksburg, IN: Shirley Mae Barnett, age 67, passed away peacefully at
home, surrounded by family, on Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born March 19,
1950 in Fredericksburg, IN to Jesse James and Susie Ann (Redmon) Bowlin Sr.
Shirley was a homemaker and nurse’s aide. She enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren & crocheting. She also delighted in talking on the phone. Her
brother, Jesse, once told her that the phone lines were “going to catch on fire”
because she was on them so much. Shirley was a member of the Valeene Christian
Chruch.
On April 27, 1968 Shirley eloped to Tennessee with her future husband, Leslie
Paul Barnett. They celebrated 49 years together this past April. To that union, 4
children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse James and Susie Ann (Redmon)
Bowlin Sr., and her brother Jesse James Bowlin Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Paul Barnett; three daughters, Anita Van
Laningham, Fredericksburg, Paula (Jesse) Bruner, Fredericksburg, Susan (Andy)
Eberle, Salem and one son, Leslie James Barnett, Salem; and one sister Betty
Claywell, Fredericksburg. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jeremy
Barnett, Kayla Van Laningham, Nash Barnett and Adrianna Bruner.
Funeral services will be held at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra on Tuesday, May
16, 2017 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at Love Funeral Home on Monday, May 15,
2017 from 4-8p.m. and on Tuesday May 16, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of
service. Burial to take place at Kays Chapel Cemetery.
A Batesville, Indiana man was arrested Friday on charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Child Exploitation as a result of an investigation conducted by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

The investigation began in 2016 when Indiana State Police Detectives received an anonymous tip that an IP Address located at 201 Country Club, Apt. 5A, Batesville, Indiana was used to view and share images of child pornography.
The investigation ultimately led to detectives receiving a search warrant for the residence.
The search warrant, which was served yesterday at approximately 10:30 am, led to detectives discovering images of child pornography on devices and accounts belonging to the residents.
The investigation ultimately led to David W. Smith, age 24, Batesville, Indiana being arrested on charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Child Exploitation.
He was transported to the Ripley County Jail where he was incarcerated pending his initial appearance in court.
The Batesville Police Department assisted in the investigation.
The Indiana State Police would like to encourage anyone with information related to internet crimes against children to submit a cybertip on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s website at missingkids.com.
