State Sen. Erin Houchin (R-Salem) has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem David Long (R-Fort Wayne) to serve as Assistant Majority Whip for the 120th General Assembly.
“I’m looking forward to the next legislative session and serving on the Senate leadership team,” Houchin said. “Expanding access to broadband in rural areas, improving education, boosting job growth, and tackling the drug crisis plaguing so many of our communities will be my top priorities this session.”
Houchin will serve on the Senate Committees on Commerce and Technology; Elections; Family and Children Services; Tax and Fiscal Policy; and Utilities.
