Donald Lee Roberts Sr., 88, of Marengo, Indiana passed away January 16, 2023 at Baptist Health- Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Donald was born August 18, 1934 in Ethyl, Indiana to Bailey and Pearl Riley Roberts. His wife of 68 years, Kay Ann Satterfield survives. They were married on April 30, 1954.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, George L. and Charles Roberts, and sisters, Juanita Zehr, Betty Heitz, and Ruth Ann Sanders.
Donald was a 1953 graduate of Paoli High School and employers included Olinger Construction, Crawford County School Corporation and Lincoln Hills Development Corporation. A lifelong Democrat and proud 65-year Mason. Donald was a master mechanic and a competitive race car driver.
He is survived by his daughter Lori Padgett, of Corydon, Indiana; and sons Keith Roberts (Carol) of Holland, Indiana, Donald Roberts Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, and Michael Roberts of Jeffersonville, Indiana. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
A private graveside and interment will be held at McDonald Chapel Cemetery, at a later date.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
