Irvin Barger, 86 of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 27,
2013 at his residence. He was born on October 25, 1927 in Leslie County, Kentucky. Irvin was a retired factory worker for Schneider Electric Company in Oxford, Ohio and a member of the 4th Street Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana. He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a stepdaughter, Becky Porter. Survivors include his wife, Edna J.
(Southwood) Barger; a son, Shawn Porter Barger of Scottsburg, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Lana Jones and her husband Doug and Rachel Porter all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a stepson, Timothy Porter of Austin, Indiana; six grandchildren, Anthony, Tara, Kristen, Gavin, Jacob and Kaleb and one great grandson, Darryn. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in New Provdence Cemetery. Visitation: 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home.
