Ice and Snow were contributors in two separate school bus crashes today.
The first happened in Washington County at approximately 9:30 am when Bruce Todd, 40, of Salem, was driving a 1993 GMC Safari mini-van west on Branaman Road.
Near the address 5660 he hit a patch of ice and slid into an east bound Salem Community School Bus, Number #21, driven by Peggie Tuttle, 70, from Salem, IN.
There were three kids on the bus and none were injured.
A passenger in the Safari mini-van, Stephanie Todd, 35, from Salem, complained of pain at the scene but was not transported by emergency services.
The second crash occurred at approximately 3:30 pm in Henryville, Clark County, on Forestry Drive near U.S. Highway #31.
Christina Anderson, 38, from Henryville, was driving West Clark School Corporation Bus #210 east on Forestry Drive when she slid off the roadway and into a ditch.
There were 28 children on the bus and none were injured.
The children were transferred to another school bus and transported from the scene.
