The Indiana State Police is still investigating the death of a 50 year old Pekin man yesterday in a shooting accident.
Darryl Thornton, 50, 1124 North Anna Street, Pekin, was found by police yesterday morning.
There is no information about how he was shot.
Yesterday morning at 10:52 am, the Pekin Town Marshall and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call at the victim’s home in Pekin.
The call was in reference to a male with a gunshot wound.
Officers at the scene summoned Indiana State Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators to the residence to assume the investigation.
Investigation is continuing.
