Jewell E. Shuler, 81, of Orleans, passed away at 7:10 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Mitchell Manor.
She was born September 10, 1934 in St. Charles, Virginia, the daughter of Paul Henry and Grace Mae (Mullins) Eagle. She married Howard Shuler on December 26, 1952 and he survives.
She worked as a receptionist for many years, was a member of Eastern Star and was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband of Orleans; one daughter, Dawn Meyer of Orleans; two grandchildren, Danie Meyer-Parlapanis and Matthew Meyer; one great grandchild, Ianthe Jewel; three sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and one sister.
The funeral will be on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans. Burial will follow in Syria Christian Church Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 PM
