According to Washington County Democrat Chairman Doug Leatherbury, Johnny Sullivan, Democrat Candidate for Salem City Council-At-Large has withdrawn his candidacy.
“As the duly elected Chairman of the Washington County Democratic Party, I am calling a caucus of the Democratic Party to fill the above candidate vacancy,” Leatherbury wrote in an email on July 1.
The Caucus will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015, at the Leatherbury Law Office, 201 N. Main Street, Salem, Indiana 47167.
Any eligible citizen wishing to be a candidate for this office must file a Declaration of Candidacy and Written Consent to fill this vacancy no later than 72 hours before the Caucus to fill the vacancy with both myself, the County Chairman and Shirley Batt, the Clerk of Courts.
