Two Daviess County men are behind bars after a Friday night drug investigation into methamphetamine use.
Arrested and Charged were Stephen M. Chambers, 74, of 6233 South 500 East, Montgomery, IN and Gregory A. Baugh, 47, of 4787 East 600 South, Montgomery, IN.
Chambers was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Level 5 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Level 6 Felony, Possession of Marijuana, Level 6 Felony and Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
Baugh was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Level 5 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Level 6 Felony and Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
Friday evening, Trooper Mitchell Wier and Washington Police Officer Brandon Garland began an investigation into possible methamphetamine manufacturing.
Around 9:29 PM, Officers arrived at 6233 South 500 East, Montgomery, and spoke with Chambers. After searching the residence, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, officers developed more information that led them to a second residence.
At 10:47 P.M., officers arrived at 4787 East 600 South in Montgomery, and spoke with Baugh. Officers were able to search this residence as well, locating methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Both Chambers and Baugh were placed into custody and lodged in the Daviess County Security Center without incident.
