Robert Alexander Frederick (Bob), age 84, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care Harrison in Corydon. Bob was born August 30, 1932 to Carl Webster and Pearl Blanche (Foster) Frederick in Owanka, South Dakota.
After graduating from Morgan Township High School Bob served in the United States Navy from 1956-1960 during the Korean War and was stationed in Boston and Guantanamo Bay Cuba. He owned and ran the General Store in Central Barren in early 1960 and then moved to Terre Haute in 1963 where he worked as a sales representative in the hardware industry and raised his family.
After his retirement in 2003 he moved back into the Southern Indiana area.
Besides enjoying gardening and collecting antique items Bob’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.
Bob is survived by one son: Dwight David Frederick of Corydon and two daughters: Lesa Frederick Cagle (Conrad) of Evansville and Lori Frederick Cancel (Frank) of Cumming, Georgia. Seven grandchildren: Clay, Kelly, Kevin, Colin, Katherine, Grant, and Morgan. One brother: Worth Frederick (Stella) of California.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and visitation will be held on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at Love Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Horners Chapel Cemetery Fredericksburg, Indiana.
