Roy D. Jones Jr., age 58, passed away Saturday,
October 22, 2016 at Baptist Health Floyd. Roy was born August, 1, 1958
in New Albany, Indiana to Roy D. Jones Sr. and Violet May (Durham)
Stroud. He married Peggy (Hilton) Jones on April 10, 1982.
Roy worked for the Town of Palmyra Utilities. He enjoyed his clubs and
was a member of the Southwind Beagle Club, and the Hi-Caliber
Sportsman Club. He also enjoyed his dogs.
Survivors include his wife Peggy; step-mother; Caroleen Jones; one
daughter, Brandy (Jason) Steiner; one son, Michael (Michelle) Wallace;
Sisters, Linda (Dennis) Baughn, Lisa (Larry) Graham, Liz Zirgaitis (Ra),
and Camilla (Hector) Laurel; 6 grandchildren, and many nieces and
nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Roy D. Jones Sr. and Violet May
(Durham) Stroud; and his step-father; Robert Stroud.
The family has chosen cremation with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m.
on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Love Funeral Home with a memorial
service following at 3:00 p.m.
