Donald K. Ferree, age 83 of Salem, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at 9:10 pm, in Baptist Health Floyd.
Born April 4, 1933 in Livonia, Indiana, he was the son of the late John W. and Ethel A. (Stepp) Ferree.
He was an employee of the old ICM Krebsoge Inc. of Salem for 39 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Freedom Cafe Church in Paoli, the Salem Lions Club, served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army, had been a life resident of Washington County and was a 1951 Graduate of the old Hardinsburg High School.
Don married Dec. 24, 1952 to Marjorie E. (Patton) Ferree, who survives. Also surviving are: Son: Steven R. (Deborah) Ferree, Zanesville, Ohio; Daughter: Patricia A. (Bob) Walker, Indianapolis; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, William, George, Charles and Robert Ferree and 1 sister, Mary Weir.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
