Terry Lee Toby, age 74, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, peacefully at home in Greenville, Indiana. He was born on December 1, 1942, to Alva and Ethel (Shoupe) Toby in Evarts, Kentucky.
He married Lois Ann Johnson on January 1, 1967. They have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Terry retired from the Sonoco plant in New Albany, Indiana as an electrician and a maintenance man. He also worked for CSX Railroad. Terry was an Air Force veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, and working in the garden building flower beds.
Terry was a member of The Church of God in Sellersburg, IN.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Ann (Johnson) Toby; four brothers, Donald Toby (Thelma) of Benton, KY, Rondal Toby (Nancy) of Louisville, KY, Dennis Toby (Sharon) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Phillip Toby (Jeanne) of Maryland.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alva Toby and Ethel (Shoupe) Toby; three brothers, Kenneth Toby, Raymond Toby, and Thomas Toby; and one sister, Jacquelyn Toby.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home with burial in Palmyra Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
