Lucy Cullins, age 80, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on October 24, 2017 at her residence. Born on December 24, 1936 in
Sunfish, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Millard Hayes & Ruth Ann French Hayes.
Lucy was retired from the Jay C Store in Salem, where she served in the Deli Department. She was a member of St. Patricks
Catholic Church in Salem.
Survivors include 5 sons, William A. Cullins Retired USMC, Phillip A. (Lil) Cullins, Charles W. Cullins Retired Army, Kevin
D. (Isabel) Cullins Retired Navy, & M. David Cullins; daughter, Mary F. (Mike) Eiler; brother, Father Maurice Hayes; 5
sisters, Theresa Weyer, Angela Cullins, Helen Reynolds, Lucille Warren, & Lois Bridges; 14 grandchildren & 6 great
grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Cullins.
The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Monday at the St. Patricks Catholic Church in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM
Sunday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem, and Monday from 9 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will
be at St. Patricks Cemetery. Father Maurice Hayes will officiate.
